Rebecca Frances Thom Burns

Rebecca is a pioneer educator in the fields of global learning and sustainability education. She is also a mother, photographer and storyteller. All of her work relates back to the complexities of a changing planet, forging creative solutions, and working to create conditions for mutual thriving in a more-than-human world. Rebecca holds her M.A. in Adolescent wellbeing, and works with youth and families as an Educational Consultant, mentor and transformational coach. She has led expeditions, guided and taught around the world, and given talks in schools, at conferences and on mountaintops. Rebecca is a PhD Candidate in Sustainability Education at Prescott College. Her current research and photographic subject matter looks at the nexus between adolescent wellbeing, traditional rites of passage, and how young people can flourish in a world of accelerating change.
